The Negative Effects of Same-sex Marriages (Updated 7/9/2013)

This post was written originally in October 2008 as a response to the initial Prop 8 balloting and every year is still the most visited site on my blog. The interest in same-sex marriage exists because of the ongoing debate on whether to legalize it or not.  With both Prop 8 and DOMA now defeated, the tide is turning and growing for the support of gay marriage and homosexuality in general. As for me and my blog, nothing is changing as I will always stand for the truth of God’s word which declares homosexuality as sin but saddened as this country just appears to have more in common with Sodom and Gomorrah than not.

The articles below are loaded with arguments and statistical data that support marriage between a man and a woman and expose the negatives of homosexuality. Also listed below are articles that write about the spiritual, socio-political, and medical consequences of homosexual sex, a topic that political correctness has managed to keep hidden from the airwaves and most media.

As the debate continues and more and more people become convinced that to “love” all people means to accept the aberrant behavior of the homosexual, the need for beneficial information abounds. Real facts regarding the negative effects of same-sex unions and how it affects not only individuals, but communities and even entire cultures becomes sought after, resulting in blogs such as this one whose most popular articles are the result of searches for “negative effects of homosexuality.” This blog post will continue to be updated with new and relevant news.

Read, contemplate, meditate and freely share your thoughts!

SAVECALIFORNIA.COM NEWS RELEASE

June 21, 2012 — For Immediate Release

The Harmful Agenda Behind ‘LGBT Pride’ Parades
Perverse parades advocate intolerant laws punishing people who disagree

Sacramento, California — The homosexual-bisexual-transsexual parades occurring in cities in California and around the nation are harmful to both children and adults, says a veteran children and families organization.

“‘LGBT Pride’ means roping children into unhealthy and unnatural homosexual-bisexual-transsexual lifestyles, and eliminating the God-given, constitutional rights of everyone who disagrees,” said Randy Thomasson, president of SaveCalifornia.com, which promotes moral virtues for the common good. “You can’t support so-called ‘gay rights’ and at the same time support free speech, religious freedom, or freedom of association, because these concocted ‘gay rights’ are trampling people’s true constitutional rights.”

In California, the “lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender” agenda is firmly entrenched in state statutes and court rulings. As a result, so-called “LGBT rights” trump other people’s constitutional rights:

1. GONE — Religious freedom, conscience rights: Under threat of a $150,000 penalty, business owners and property owners cannot decline to hire or rent to homosexuals, bisexuals, or transsexuals despite an owner’s religious or moral conscience: Homosexuality and bisexuality — AB 1001 and AB 1670 (1999); cross-dressing and “sex changes” — AB 196 (2003), AB 887 (2011)

2. GONE — Parents’ rights: A raft of “LGBT” laws in K-12 government schools has largely eliminated the requirement of parental permission for teaching children these sexual subjects. See the several “LGBT” laws that override parental consent

3. GONE — Physicians’ rights: You can’t be a doctor in California and for religious/moral reasons, refuse artificial insemination to a lesbian: “Doctors’ faith must yield to gays’ rights, court says”

4. GONE — Right of association: Owners of businesses and clubs are prohibited from exercising their First Amendment right of association regarding homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality: AB 2900 (2004), AB 1400 (2005), Bernardo Heights Country Club (2005)

Freedom of religion and freedom of assembly (association) are enshrined in the United States Constitution and the California Constitution. The fundamental right of parents to direct the education and upbringing of their children has been repeatedly affirmed by the United States Supreme Court. Yet “LGBT” statutory laws in California have been allowed to trump constitutional freedom of religion and freedom of association, as well as infringe upon fundamental parental rights. In contrast, homosexual-bisexual-transsexual “rights” are in neither the state constitution nor federal constitution. In addition, these sexual behaviors do not qualify for “civil rights” status, which is categorically limited to characteristics that are immutable — not changeable, as homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality have demonstrated themselves to be.

“In California, religious rights, moral rights, parental rights, business owner rights, property owner rights, physicians’ rights, and the right of association are being trampled by the intolerant ‘LGBT’ agenda,” Thomasson said. “And despite their lust for dominion and their incessant attacks on other persons’ constitutional rights, the homosexual-bisexual-transsexual activists deceive themselves and others by claiming to be ‘victims’ of peaceful people who have a conscience on these sexual behaviors. But who’s trampling whom? American rights or so-called ‘gay rights’ — you can’t have both, because the latter eliminates the former.”

The Fine Line Rally Video ('Yes' on Proposition 8)

The Fine Line Rally on ‘Yes for Proposition 8″ video below if you missed it. Listen to Pastor Miles sermon on marriage, and the panel as they answer these six questions:

  1. “Same-sex marriage doesn’t affect me so why should I be against it?”
  2. “You’re trying to impose your religion, what about separation of church and state?”
  3. “Heterosexuals have the right to get married according to their orientation, but homosexuals – why shouldn’t they have the same right?”
  4. “Half of marriages end up in divorce, so why not allow same-sex marriages? Maybe they’ll do better statistically.”
  5. “Isn’t it true that kids need a loving family regardless whether its a mother or father?”
  6. “If you care about your gay friends, you would want them to be happy and that might mean being able to marry the person they love. So telling them they can’t be married isn’t very loving is it?”

The Fine Line – "Yes for Proposition 8" Rally at the Rock Church!

Update 10/2/08:

The iProtect.com rally was a truly awesome event. Awesome speakers, music and the content of course, informative and spiritually uplifting!

Although I nearly missed it with a blown tire as I was exiting the I-5 freeway ramp to the church, I was still able to make the event. My tire had shredded and I came to a halt right before the protective banisters design to keep people from hitting the concrete wall.

As I was on the phone calling my roadside assistance, the highway patrol came and checked on me since I was near a very dangerous part of the freeway. They called their freeway support that came to my aid (I canceled mine) about 30 minutes later. Fortunately, since I was working for the event and had to be there two hours before, I was still able to get to church in decent time with decent parking especially. The place was nearly filled already!

Anyways, here is a review of what I got out of this event, summarizing what the speakers talked about. This whole event can be seen through mp3’s and on the iProtect link below.

The event started (now, this is only my synopsis and with me working, I missed bits and pieces of it all) with great music by the Katina’s (who ROCKED the church!) and a great sermon by Pastor Miles on marriage. He touched on Genesis 2:18 how the Lord had to find a helper suitable for his creation called “man.” He broke this down superbly and if anyone had a question on God’s intent for marriage after this, then they truly do hate God!

Next came the panel of guests who took on questions that were taken from people and produced electronically on big screens. Here are the questions that were presented and a background on the answers. Again, iProtect.com will have mp3s and other media for last night’s presentation. (more…)

Protecting Marriage Between One Man and One Woman

Californians are gearing up and preparing to get the vote out for Proposition 8 in November. What is Proposition 8? From ProtectMarriage.com’s site (also listed in column to the right):

The Issue

California voters passed Proposition 22 in 2000 by more than 61%, saying that a marriage in California is between a man and a woman. Earlier this year, four activist judges based in San Francisco wrongly overturned the people’s vote, legalizing same-sex marriage.

The Consequences

The Supreme Court’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage did not just overturn the will of California voters; it also redefined marriage for the rest of society, without ever asking the people themselves to accept this decision. This decision has far-reaching consequences. For example, because public schools are already required to teach the role of marriage in society as part of the curriculum, schools will now be required to teach students that gay marriage is the same as traditional marriage, starting with kindergarteners. By saying that a marriage is between “any two persons” rather than between a man and a woman, the Court decision has opened the door to any kind of “marriage.” This undermines the value of marriage altogether at a time when we should be restoring marriage, not undermining it.

The Solution

Vote YES on Proposition 8 to overturn the outrageous Supreme Court decision and restore the definition of marriage that was approved by over 61% of voters. Proposition 8 is NOT an attack on gay couples and does not take away the rights that same-sex couples already have under California’s domestic partner law. California law already grants domestic partners all the rights that a state can grant to a married couple. Gays have a right to their private lives, but not to change the definition of marriage for everyone else.

Passing Proposition 8 protects our children and places into the Constitution the simple definition that a marriage is between a man and a woman.

The Rock Church San Diego is hosting a rally that will involved many people, organizations and other churches in the support of traditional marriage. iProtectMarriage.com is the website for this organized rally which will convene on October 1, 2008 complete with performances, informational messages and simulcasts as well.

Many of these sites are already drawing the ire of Gay activists who bristle at the thought that we show such unkindness and lack of love by not agreeing that homosexuality is moral. Homosexuality labeled as immoral is the fighting phrase with this community. Many are incensed that websites go up and are considered “anti-gay” because of their support for the heterosexual marriages.

Sites such as Protectmarriage.com and iProtectMarriage.com are excellent sources to load the invidivual with information to better prepare them with for making the right choice for marriage at the ballot box in November. Much of this information will equip an individual on the benefits of heterosexual marriage period!

So please take a moment and check out these very informative websites and make the right decision in November – marriage between One Man and One Woman!

Here are also some fellow bloggers sites that speak on Proposition 8. (Feel free to suggest other sites to add!)
